Standard Return Policy
Guitar Czar does accept returns on a case by case basis. You must contact Guitar Czar for an authorization to return an item before sending it. Returned item must be in the original packaging and condition showing no signs of wear or abuse and complete with all collateral materials such as cases, straps, strings, care kits, free gift items, and any other materials that originally shipped with the instrument; otherwise the return will either be refused or a restocking fee will be assessed. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
All returned items must have a Return Authorization Number (“RMA Number”) on the outside of the package. Any items returned without a RMA Number may be refused. Obtain a RMA Number by calling 801-466-8666 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We will require an explanation for the return (defective, damaged, etc). Don't be surprised if we ask you some pretty detailed questions about the reason for your return. Hearing first-hand what our customers are experiencing will enable us to provide you with the best possible service.
All returned items are inspected upon arrival at Guitar Czar. Unless you are returning an item for physical defects, you will be responsible for all return shipping costs. If the returned item shows signs of wear or not meeting these requirements, it may be refused or a restocking fee may be assessed.
We recommend that you use a reliable carrier such as FedEx, UPS or USPS and insure your package when returning your item. Guitar Czar is not responsible for shipping damages for returns.
You may expect to receive your refund within four (4) weeks of shipping your package back to us. Under normal circumstances you will receive a refund sooner, but we estimate four weeks because of the time required for return shipping (up to 14 days), product inspection (up to 5 business days), and processing from bank, credit card company or through the mail if item was purchased with personal check or money order (5 business days). We issue refunds in the form of payment used to make your purchase except for money orders, Western Union, or wire transfers in which case you will receive a refund in the form of a company check.
We do not give refunds for the following items (these items may only be exchanged for the same product if defective): recorders, harmonicas, kazoos, whistles, microphones, gift cards, clearance items, and accessories including but not limited to tuning machines, bridges, strings, tubes, earbuds, earplugs, cleaners, polishes, polishing cloths and cleaning kits. Software, books, CDs, and DVDs may be returned for store credit only if in sealed original packaging.
Returned merchandise with damages, broken parts or otherwise considered non-resalable are also considered non-returnable.
How to Return an Item
1. Call us at 1-801-466-8666 M-S 11am-6pm MST or via email: email@example.com to obtain a RMA Number.
2. Write the RMA Number on the return package. Item must be in original packaging complete with all original materials shipped with the instrument and showing no signs of wear or use.
3. Ship the package back to us via a reliable carrier and must be post marked within the first 30 days from the day you received the package.
Damaged / Defective Items and Shipping Errors
If there is a problem of any kind with your order you must notify us within 10 days of the delivery date for us to be able to help you. If an item is found to have been damaged during shipment or defective at the time you receive your shipment, you may receive an item of equal or lesser value after you have returned the defective item. We must receive the defective item within thirty (30) days (U.S.) or forty-five (45) days (International) of your delivery date. If there is an error on our part related to your order, you will be eligible for a credit for any applicable shipping.
Please do not accept any shipment if the packaging appears damaged in any way. We strongly suggest that you check your order after receiving it to be sure that it is in proper working order.
If the return is needed as a result of damage, defect, or our mistake, Guitar Czar will pay the shipping charges - both to have your item sent back to Guitar Czar, and to send you a replacement item.
