Featuring hand-engraved and –laid mother-of-pearl and abalone flames in the fingerboard and bridge and a phoenix rising from the ashes in the headstock, the Firebird 2019 is sure to turn heads, but it’s the sound that will keep everyone’s attention. Gibson constructs the classic square shoulder body with quilt maple sides and back and a sitka spruce top, the combination of which produces a tone that is bright and rich, as well as crisp and balanced. They top it off with a hand-rubbed cherry stain on the sides and back and a hand-engraved flame pickguard, making this bird red hot from headstock to tailblock.
