The Yamaha LS6 Handcrafted acoustic guitar has a solid Engelmann spruce top and rosewood back and sides. It also features a new non-scalloped bracing design that delivers a beautiful and well balanced tone. Choice materials and Yamaha's unique ability to blend traditional skills with advanced manufacturing make the Yamaha LS6 an exceptional guitar at a reasonable price. The LS6 features Yamaha's proprietary Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.). Models treated with A.R.E. give you an enhanced high range response with increased high range decay, giving you more clarity on the top end, while simultaneously enhancing the low range sustain, increasing the power and giving added warmth to the tone. The LS6 also offers their lightweight Zero Impact Passive Pickup, designed to minimize sound sacrifice while maintaining traditional looks, as well as a 5 ply mahogany and rosewood neck with a thin neck taper, wide string spacing and rosewood fingerboard with chamfered edges, giving you a fast playing and comfortable feel. The Yamaha LS6 is smaller than a dreadnought guitar. It's size and shape are usually called a "folk" or "grand concert" size guitar.
