Originally built-in 1987, the Ibanez RG550 earned its place in the hearts of rock and metal guitarists worldwide. The new Genesis Collection reissue has kept the classic design in mind but updated it with some modern touches. The one-piece maple neck has been replaced with a sturdy 5-piece laminated maple/walnut one, and its versatile HSH pickup configuration is now equipped with modern V7 and V8 humbuckers. Its comfortable, contoured basswood body resonates with a warm growl, delivering midrange definition that lets your sound cut through a dense mix. With its eye-catching black hardware, the RG550 not only looks aggressive but also lets you twist, bend and dive-bomb as you rock out to your heart's content.
